API 16A Shaffer Spherical BOP
Our GBOP Annular Blowout Preventer is a revamped version of the field proven API 16A Shaffer Spherical BOP, and has been tested rigorously to prove its reliability as an annular BOP. The GBOP is ideal for use in most drilling applications.
The key features of the Shaffer Spherical Annular BOP include:
- Easy to service in the field
- Rugged design, with fatigue testing lasting a total of 60 cycles.*exceeds API 16A 4th Ed. PR2 min. requirement.
- 100% interchangeable with Shaffer Spherical BOP’s
- Elastomers are readily available
- Flanged or Hubbed Bottom Connections
- Available with Natural or Nitrile Packing elements
- Bore Size: 7-1/16″, 11″, 13-5/8″, 16-3/4″, 20-3/4″, 21-1/4″
- Pressure Ratings: 2,000 PSI, 3,000 PSI, 5,000 PSI
- Performance Rating 1
- Only 4 metallic components
- NACE MR-0175 Compliant
